The Central Negros Electric Cooperative, Inc. (Ceneco) revealed residential rates for September 2018 came to P11.8574 per kilowatt-hour (kWh), a slight increase from the August 2018 rate of P11.7019/kWh.
In line with total expenses last month, around 75 percent of revenue is allocated towards generation and transmission companies, which include system loss charges and adjustments approved by the Energy Regulatory Commission.
The said adjustments came to P8.9396/kWh.
The utility co-op also noted, excise taxes, introduced by the Tax Reform for Acceleration and Inclusion Law, assessed an additional P50 per ton fee on coal. The additional expenditure was included in the cost of fuel./WDJ
