A 15-year-old minor was killed after his group was fired upon yesterday morning by motorcycle-riding gunmen at the Celine Homes Subdivision in Barangay Estefania, Bacolod City.

Police identified the fatality as Regie John Semillano, a resident of the said barangay. Also wounded in the incident was 15-year-old Dominic Espinosa, also a resident of the said area.

Based on a statement given by victim’s father, Semillano, Espinosa, and their friends were walking in the area and bought cigarettes at a local store when the gunmen opened fire at the minors.

Semillano was killed at the scene after sustaining a gunshot wound to the back, while residents rushed Espinosa to a local hospital for treatment.

The Police Station 4-Women and Children’s Protection Desk is presently conducting an investigation into the shooting./DGB, WDJ
