Ceres picks up first win

After opening their 2018 Copa Paulino Alcantara campaign with two consecutive losses, Philippines Football League champions Ceres-Negros FC earned their first win after beating Stallion Laguna FC, 2-1, earlier this week at the Rizal Memorial Stadium.

Stallion midfielder Fitch Arboleda opened scoring with a goal in the 40th minute, but the Negrense side managed to come from behind with goals from striker Blake Powell in the 56th minute and midfielder Manuel Ott in the 85th minute.

Ceres next meets Davao Aguilas FC tomorrow, September 22./JSG, WDJ
