Toboso-born Merlito ‘Tiger’ Sabillo lost to Chinese boxer Jing Xiang via unanimous decision following their World Boxing Council (WBC) silver light flyweight title bout, which took place last weekend in Qinzhou, China.

The result marks back-to-back losses for the Negrense boxer after earlier losing via split decision to Edward Heno in an Oriental and Pacific Boxing Federation light flyweight title fight earlier this year.

Meanwhile, Jay-r Raquinel of Cauayan will meet Chinese boxer Wulan Tuolehazi next week, September 28, in Changsha, China, where they will fight for the WBC silver flyweight title./JSG, WDJ
