NU badminton player to speak at opening

National University (NU) badminton player Mike Minuluan, formerly of Riverside College, will serve as guest speaker for the opening of the Negros Occidental Private Schools Sports, Cultural and Educational Association (NOPSSCEA) meet, now in its 38th season, scheduled to begin next week, September 21.

Committee on Culture head Manuel Delumpa said opening rites were supposed to commence tomorrow, September 14, but was moved due to the expected arrival of a typhoon.

Minuluan is a champion of both the regional and national Private Schools Athletic Association (PRISAA) meet, winning gold in 2014. His performance earned a scholarship at NU, where he has won the University Athletic Association of the Philippines championships, along with the Prima Pasta Badminton Championship.

He has also been named Most Outstanding Student Athlete for 2018./JSG, WDJ
