The University of Negros Occidental-Recoletos (UNO-R) opened University Week yesterday, September 10, under the theme “Paghigugma kay Kristo, Pag-alagad sa Isigkatawo.”

The celebration, scheduled to run until Saturday, September 15, will include the Mr. and Miss UNO-R pageant, drum and bugle competition, essay writing contest, quiz bowl, battle of the bands, paint party, carnival rides, among other activities.

There will also be sporting events including Futbol de San Nicolas, the Beach Volleybelles Challenge, a basketball exhibition game, among others.

In addition to University Week, the feast day of St. Nicholas of Tolentine, UNO-R’s patron saint, was observed yesterday with a procession and mass./WDJ
