Ahead of their match against Bahrain at the Bahrain National Stadium tonight, the Philippine men’s national football team, the Azkals, named nine Ceres-Negros FC players to their roster, including midfielder Stephan Schröck, who has not been called up for international duty in years.
Alongside Schröck, the Negrense club is also providing defenders Amani Aguinaldo, Carlos de Murga, and Junior Muñoz; midfielders Paul Mulders, Curt Dizon, along with Manny and Mike Ott; and striker Patrick Reichelt.
The Azkals are currently coached by Scott Cooper, who took over for former English national football team captain Terry Butcher, following the latter’s resignation less than two months at the helm./JSG, WDJ
