Provincial government offering welding scholarship

The Negros Occidental Scholarship Program (NOSP) is offering a scholarship for 100 local students to participate in a 40-day welding training.

NOSP head Karen Dinsay said the program will prepare potential welders to work overseas, with an emphasis on Japan.

Eligible candidates must be Negros Occidental residents, at least 21 years old, and a high school graduate.

Interested applicants must submit their bio-data, an NSO birth certificate, high school diploma, Form 137 or 138, six passport size and two 1×1 photos (in corporate attire), certificate of indigency, and medical tests (x-ray, hepa-B, and drug test) to either the NOSP office or Public Information Office (PIO), both are located at the Provincial Capitol.
