The Bago City government launched the PagBAG-O Wellness Program last week, a community-based rehabilitation program for local drug personalities who previously surrendered to law enforcement.
Bago City Mayor Nicholas M. Yulo led the ceremony, which also featured various speakers, including Department of the Interior and Local Government-Bago City head Evelyn Vista; Russel Niebres of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency-Region VI; Police Regional Office-6 (PRO-6) deputy administration director, Police Chief Superintendent Carlito Feliciano; Police Superintendent Adrian Acollador of the Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office; Dr. Romulo Rhoel Mogul of the Provincial Health Office; Dr. Deborah Singson of Bago City College; and Pastor Renie Fegar of the National Association of Chaplaincy of the Philippines-Bago City Chapter.
The program intends to heal the body, mind and soul through counseling and other therapeutic sessions in order to restore and reconnect patients with their families./WDJ
