The Iloilo City government distributed a total of P2,010,600 to 1,050 Iloilo City Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) beneficiaries at the Mandurriao Gym earlier this week as part of the April-May cash grant, an initiative of the national government.
“Thank you to President Rodrigo Duterte for this project,” Iloilo City Mayor Jose Espinosa III stated. “This can help our beneficiaries with their education and those who are less fortunate will have something to inspire them to pursue their dreams.”
The cash grant provides financial assistance for beneficiary families with school-aged children.
4Ps provincial and city link Erlyn Garcia explained the requirements for eligibility.
“Beneficiaries have to comply [by] the 85 percent attendance in school [requirement], regular check-up [at] city health stations, and parents [must attend] family development sessions,” she explained.
Aside from educational assistance, families are also provided P500 in monthly health assistance./WDJ
