The swimming pool located at the Panaad Park and Stadium in Barangay Mansilingan, Bacolod City was temporarily closed by the Negros Occidental provincial government.

Acting Negros Occidental Provincial Administrator, Dr. Lucille Gelvolea, said the closure came about due to the facility running out of chlorine, a necessity in keeping the pool clean.

She added, the provincial government contracted with the supplier through public bidding, agreeing to an eight-year arrangement worth P100,000; however, the provincial official noted, the new supply has yet to be delivered.

Gelvolea said there is no projected date for reopening but said the supplier will be expediting their delivery once the purchase order has been issued./DGB, WDJ
