Regional event underway at Robinsons Place Roxas

The Department of Science and Technology (DOST) opened a Regional Science and Technology Week event yesterday at Robinsons Place Roxas in Roxas City, Capiz, which runs until tomorrow, August 31.

Among the activities and events participants can look forward to include a technology forum; exhibits featuring the latest in research and development; a product fair for micro, small, and medium enterprises; and a science and technology forum for the youth.

According to DOST, the observance “highlights the significant contributions of science and technology to national development.”

Earlier this month, DOST, alongside the Office of Negros Occidental third district Rep. Alfredo Benitez, Technological University of the Philippines-Visayas, and the Western Visayas Consortium for Industry, Energy, and Emerging Technology Research and Development provided a solar-powered water system for Sitio Mirasol, located in Murcia’s Barangay Caliban./WDJ
