The San Miguel Brewery (SMB) held a tree-planting on Saturday at the Upper Imbang-Caliban watershed, located at Sitio Campuestohan in Barangay Cabatangan, Talisay City.

The Negros Press Club also participated in the event, where around 1,700 seedlings, including hardwood, mangrove, and fruit-bearing varieties, were planted.

SMB personnel, alongside partners the Bacolod City Water District (Baciwa), Bacolod City Environment and Natural Resources Office, and Rotary Club of Bacolod-Central, also took part in the activity.

Meanwhile, SMB also signed a memorandum of understanding with Baciwa to adopt a site within the area to conduct watershed rehabilitation./WDJ
