A drug surrenderee was arrested Tuesday afternoon at Hacienda Fortuna, Barangay Consing, EB Magalona over alleged illegal gambling charges.
Police identified the suspect as 38-year-old Angelito Barcelona, a resident of the said barangay.
EB Magalona town police chief, Police Senior Inspector Rhojn Darell Nigos, said Barcelona was caught in the act of collecting and tallying bets for Small Town Lottery bookies.
When police searched the suspect, he also yielded one elongated sachet of suspected shabu, P470 in suspected bet money, and a loaded .38 caliber firearm with three live bullets on the chamber.
Aside for the illegal gambling charges, Barcelona is also facing additional raps of illegal possession of dangerous drugs, and illegal possession of firearms and ammunition./DGB, WDJ
