A joint drug raid by the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) and Silay City police yielded guns and suspected drug money Saturday morning at Villa Hergon in the city’s Barangay Rizal.
PDEA agents identified the arrested suspects as Alma Aguirre, Rodjilyn Santosidad, and Bryan Seranno, all residents of the said area.
The target of the operation, however, identified as Sammy Aguirre, managed to elude capture.
Based on information released by PDEA-Region 6, the raid was conducted after Judge Ana Celeste Bernad of the Silay City Regional Trial Court-Branch 69 issued a search warrant against the target.
A search of the suspects’ residence yielded a total of 75 grams of suspected shabu, worth P510,000; and drug paraphernalia.
Agents also recovered suspected drug money amounting to P249,400, 13 mobile phones, a .45 caliber pistol with seven live bullets in the chamber, five pistol magazines, and 32 pieces of empty 9mm bullet casings.
Police and PDEA agents are presently conducting a manhunt operation against Sammy, while the three arrested are detained at the Silay City Police Station and face possession of illegal drugs and firearms charges./DGB, WDJ
