JG Summit sets up in Tacloban City

JG Summit Holdings, Inc., which owns Cebu Pacific Air and the Universal Robina Corporation, opened the Summit Hotel Tacloban last month with a goal of attracting the meeting, incentives, conventions, events/exhibitions market. The hotel will help boost business and convention activities in the city.

Opening day was attended by Summit Hotel corporate officers, led by Robinsons Land Corporation General Manager for Hotels and Resorts Elizabeth Kristine Gregorio; Department of Tourism-Region VIII officer-in-charge Maria Trinidad Dacuycuy; local government officials; and members of the tourism sector.

The hotel, which boasts 138 rooms and event facilities that can accommodate for over 600 guests, is meters from Robinsons Place Tacloban.
