The 6th World Cities Summit and Mayors Forum, which closes today, July 12, in Singapore, included Iloilo City this year.
Iloilo City Mayor Jose Espinosa III was selected to attend the event, where he discussed collaborations and partnerships the city government has undertaken, along with addressing the goal of making the city a “Premier Smart City of Excellence,” which refers to a city efficiently utilizing modern technology and innovation.
He hopes the experience provides opportunities to network internationally.
The summit, which is sponsored by the Singaporean government, is held every two years.
