Four of the total 11 rides to be featured at Magikland, what will be the first theme park in Negros, arrived in Silay City over the weekend.
The P600 million theme park is located across a 3.75-hectare lot in Barangay Guinhalaran, Silay City and is expected to open next year.
Zamperla, an Italian company, which supplies attractions for Disneyland, provided twister coaster, sky tower, disk, and family swinger rides. They also sent parts for other attractions, including a 4D theater, arcade, bumper cars, and a haunted house.
Aton Land and Leisure, Inc. broke ground on the project in April 2017, under the working name “Magic Island.”
“Magic Island will indeed attract hundreds of thousands of tourists and income for Silay City,” said Negros Occidental Governor Alfredo Marañon, Jr. at the time.
During the groundbreaking, it was also announced the ferris wheel that will feature at the theme park would be the tallest in the Visayas./WDJ
