With construction of the new Iloilo City Health Office (CHO) underway in Barangay North San Jose, located in the city’s Molo district, the five-story structure is scheduled to begin operations by next year. Currently, the CHO is housed on the second floor of the new Iloilo City Hall.

“It will be a one-stop building of all health services of the city government,” said CHO chief, Dr. Bernard Caspe, of the P130 million project.

He noted, between P30 to P40 million worth of medical equipment will be provided by the Department of Health.

Upon completion, the structure will include ultrasound equipment, an ex-ray machine, surgical room, among other amenities.

Patients will also be able to receive dental services at the facility./WDJ
