
Rev. Fr. Don Hormillosa Besana will officially be installed as the next president of the University of Negros Occidental-Recoletos (UNO-R) today, following a Mass of the Holy Spirit. Besana will become the school’s 17th president.
The program will begin with a relinquishment message by outgoing UNO-R president, Rev. Fr. Eduardo S. Celiz, Jr., and will proceed with various presentations from different school officials, culminating with an inaugural address by the newly-installed official.
Besana is originally from San Jose de Buenavista, Antique and initially joined the order as a minor seminarian in San Carlos City. He was ordained as deacon in 1999 and later receive the sacrament in 2000.
He was previously appointed as UNO-Recoletos chaplain, and served as vice president for San Sebastian College-Recoletos in Manila and San Sebastian College-Recoletos de Cavite.
Last year, he was transferred to UNO-R to serve as vice president for academics./WDJ
