NHA orientation today for Victorias City resettlement site

Since the end of last month, the National Housing Authority (NHA) has been conducting orientations for “Yolanda” resettlement beneficiaries throughout the Negros Occidental third congressional district.

Victorias City, which is home to 2,321 units designated as “Yolanda” resettlement housing, will be holding their orientation today, July 3.

Similar events were earlier held in Silay City and EB Magalona.

There are a total of 5,481 resettlement units throughout the district.

Meanwhile, both resettlement sites in Barangay E. Lopez in Silay City and Barangay Sto. Niño in E.B. Magalona also provide a training center. The facility for the former was earlier turned over, while the latter still has to be constructed.

According to NHA-Bacolod area manager, Engr. Alejandro Ongsuco, there are a total of 27,055 “Yolanda” permanent housing units in Negros Occidental./WDJ
