Cadiz City inaugurates arena, City Hall II

The Cadiz City Arena and City Hall II were both inaugurated yesterday as part of the city’s 51st Charter Anniversary observance.

The arena, or the Don Bernardo Benedicto Community Center, can accommodate over a thousand spectators and is fully air-conditioned. While the Cadiz City Hall II will house the City Administration Office, Tourism Office, Social Welfare and Development Office, Nutrition Office, along with some national offices.

In addition, an oath-taking ceremony for the city’s newly-elected barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan officials also took place, which were led by Negros Occidental second district Rep. Leo Rafael Cueva and Cadiz City Mayor Patrick Escalante, respectively.

Also present for the events were Cadiz City Vice Mayor Lilia Decolongon, Provincial Board Members Salvador Escalante, Jr. and Samson Mirhan, and Elections Commissioner and former mayor of Cadiz City Rowena Guanzon./WDJ
