A man was wounded after he was reportedly shot by someone reported to be a sibling’s rival late Tuesday evening in Barangay Tangub, Bacolod City.

Police identified the victim as 23-year-old Leonardo Capunong, a resident of the said area.

Police Station 8 (PS8) investigators said the victim was riding on a motorcycle in front of the GSIS building when he encountered his sibling’s rival, whom police have not identified.

After the suspect reportedly aimed am improvised firearm at Capunong, the latter tried to wrestle the gun away but was shot during the scuffle.

The suspect immediately fled while Capunong was brought to the Corazon Locsin Montelibano Memorial Regional Hospital after sustaining a gunshot wound to his left hand.

PS8 is presently conducting a follow-up operation against the suspect./DGB, WDJ
