Globe Telecom, in partnership with The Walt Disney Company (Philippines), recently organized the “Time Please” program, a nationwide volunteering program intended to encourage and empower Filipinos, including companies, organizations, employees, families, and friends, to participate in volunteer activities.

Media and Negros-based bloggers recently gathered in Bacolod City, Globe Telecom Senior Vice President for Corporate Communications Yoly Crisanto said the program supports Globe’s commitment to nine of the United Nations sustainable development goals and appeals to the Filipino culture of volunteerism, which is  rooted in the “bayanihan” spirit to collectively contribute to social development.

During the event, those gathered packed school supplies for impoverished school children.

Participants also registered with timeplease.ph, a volunteer matching portal.

The program is ongoing until August 19 and those involved also have a chance to win a trip for four to Hong Kong Disneyland, among other prizes./DGB, WDJ
