A 37-year-old man was shot dead, while his female companion reportedly fled with the suspect, yesterday morning at Crossing Kamatis in Barangay Sampinit, Bago City.

Police identified the fatality as Marlon Sixto, a resident of the city’s Barangay Taloc.

Based on investigations by Bago City police, Sixto, along with a female companion, who remains unidentified, exited a public utility jeepney, when a gunman riding a motorcycle made a U-turn and shot Sixto.

After the shooting, the female companion reportedly fled with the suspect towards Barangay Busay.

Bystanders rushed Sixto to the city’s district hospital, but he was declared dead on arrival by hospital staff.

An investigation is still being carried out by Bago City police, while a manhunt operation is ongoing./DGB, WDJ
