When Father’s Day rolls around, Sunday, June 17, shopping malls pulls out all their gimmicks and other premium offers in an attempt to see who is the best at bringing in customers. These displays have the children of families thinking about what they will give to their papa, tatay, dad, or itay on the special day.
Hotel and restaurants also promote their own offers to see who can attract the best crowd.
There are also specialty stores that try to sway children to buy what they believe would be best for dad.
On the special holiday, children are looking for ways to say “Maraming Salamat” to the father that helped shape who they are today.
Greetings to all the dads on earth!

There are some dads that I would like recognize.
LDC Refrigeration and Airconditioning, Inc. President Lorenzo ‘Nonong’ dela Cruz, a longtime friend, started from nowhere as an ordinary man. In his single days, he used to do odd chores at a theater. Dela Crus would later become an air conditioning technician and eventually start his own business. His humility has never changed to this day and he has grown successful with the support of his wife and children.
Chris Sorongon, a doctor by profession, is a humble figure. He helps nurses grow in success through his work with the Rotary Club. The doctor has three small children that he takes care of on vacation and makes sure are fed. An active Rotarian, Sorongon is a model personality who succeeds through humility and is envied by many.
Philip Lacson is a low-key personality, who dedicates his modest lifestyle to family. His wife, Tata, is just as happy, along with their children, who carry on the “good breeding” in society. They enjoy life and live simply. They also never forget there is a heaven, where someone provides them with care and blessings.
Renato Novero is another simple family man who never forgets to take of his “barkada” family, comprised of three boys. “Nato” is a cheerful guy who makes his superiors in government forget their worries.
Sportsman Roland Jubilag loves cars. While he does not own elegant ones, he takes care of the elegant cars of his friends and clients. Married with one child, he makes sure his wife and baby receive all the love and laughter they need. He lives a simple life and his humility makes him a friend to many.
George Jardiolin is such a busy mall manager, one could not imagine how he still have time for his family. He always takes his family out, whether if it’s for an ice cream or a dinner.

Along the way, ups and downs come in and disrupt the flow of a good life, but there is always the moment of remembering what life is supposed to be about and dads are always going to be those lovers of their family.
