Royal Star, Silver Dragon win Class B semifinals

Royal Star Trading recently defeated Sweet Crystals Sugar, 77-72, in the Class B semifinals of the Fil-Sino All Asian Countertrade, Inc. (AACI) Conference Inter-Company Basketball Tournament at the Bacolod Tay Tung High School gym. On the other side of the bracket, Silver Dragon Transport beat Organic Solutions, 61-56.

Sweet Crystals led, 26-19, in the opening quarter; but later found themselves behind, 65-51, heading into the final period. Royal Star managed to hold on to the lead despite a late rally by their opponents.

Ervin Tan led the victor with 16 points, followed by Allan Elevencionado adding 14 and Joemarie Ysatam scoring 12.

In the other game, the eventual winners led, 32-25, at the half. They continued to lead despite the score narrowing to 46-40 ahead of the final quarter.
