Faulty wiring blamed for Brgy. 16 fire

At least three homes were destroyed, while three others were damaged, after a fire broke out yesterday morning in a residential area of Purok Punay in Barangay 16, Bacolod City.
Based on an official report released by the Bacolod City Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), the fire call was made around 9:45 a.m.
The fire was reported to have originated on the second floor of a house owned by a certain Rebecca Espillo.
The blaze quickly spread throughout the neighborhood either damaging or destroying several houses, which were reported to be made of light materials.
Firefighters were able to quell the blaze by 10:15 a.m.
Arson investigators believe the fire may have been caused by faulty electrical wiring, however, they are still conducting an investigation.
Damages are currently estimated at P20,000./DGB, WDJ
