Three Negrense teams in the finals

Three teams from Negros Occidental are in the finals of the 2018 Philippine Series, which begins tomorrow, May 26, and runs until June 1 in Cabuyao, Laguna.

Defending little league champions, Negros Occidental Little League, are among the teams hoping to bring home a title.

The team, coached by Lizvi Jalandoni, who is assisted by Ramil Jalandoni and Ernesto Liguaton, is set to meet Batangas and Cavite in the competition.

Making up the roster are Mary Joy Alpitche, Anne Frensbelle Patricio, April Ann Mongcal, Jhaycel Roldan, Neavia Marie Emborniza, Kenchie Tan, Trisha Karyl Hicayen, Anna Rose Macatbag, Anna Leah Dolorfino, Kyle Marie Matarong, Laira Dianne Silverio, Magdalene Nangan, Angel Zyra Motin, and Christine Segovia.

Meanwhile, Iloilo qualified for the junior league baseball finals./JSG, WDJ
