Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency operatives and Silay City police seized P102,000 worth of suspected shabu after conducting a buy-bust operation late Sunday evening in Barangay Mambulac, Silay City, Negros Occidental.

Police identified the arrested suspects as Manuel Britanico, Jay-r Britanico, Grace Beñieves, Kimberly Hilado, and Ralph Suspeñe, all residents of the said barangay.
Silay City police chief, Police Superintendent Noel Polines, said operatives moved in after Britanico handed over one small sachet of suspected shabu in exchange for P500.
The other suspects, meanwhile, were arrested after they were found to be allegedly using Britanico’s home as a drug den.
A search of the premises and the suspects further yielded two big and three small sachets of suspected shabu, drug paraphernalia, and the P500 marked money.
Polines added, the suspects are newly-identified drug personalities, while one of the suspects previously surrendered to “Oplan: Tokhang.”
The suspects face illegal drugs charges and are presently detained at the Silay City Police Station./DGB, WDJ
