Competition opens today

The University of San Agustin-Iloilo is scheduled to meet Murcia, while Ateneo de Iloilo-Santa Maria Catholic School will play the University of St. La Salle this morning, beginning at 7:00 a.m., in the opening games of the 4th JGM Invitational Volleyball Tournament at the Bacolod Tay Tung High School (BTTHS) covered court.

Meanwhile, in Bracket A, BTTHS-A will play Assumption Antipolo; in Bracket B, Colegio San Agustin-Bacolod meets La Carlota City, while Sacred Heart School-Ateneo de Cebu-A faces BTTHS-B; and in Bracket C, Trinity Christian School will play Bingawan.

As earlier reported, University of the Philippines women’s volleyball team head coach Owese Okumu is expected to attend the opening rites, where she will deliver an address. Also expected to attend are Diana Mae ‘Toots’ Carlos, Maria Lina Isabel Molde, and Ma. Arielle Estranero./JSG, WDJ
