Eight Bacolod City barangays are presently being validated by the Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) for classification as drug-free barangays.
BCPO spokesperson, Police Senior Inspector Armilyn Vargas, said the barangays under consideration include Alangilan, Cabug, Felisa, Granada, Vista Alegre, 18, 17, and 4.
Barangays 24, 41, and 5, which were earlier declared drug-free, are presently being revalidated for any illegal drug activities before being re-declared as drug-free.
Vargas added, barangays declared drug-free under the defunct Negros Island Region are currently subject for revalidation./DGB, WDJ
