A 15-year-old minor involved in a disturbance late Saturday evening at a mall in San Carlos City, Negros Occidental was apprehended after allegedly brandishing a firearm.
Police refused to divulge the name of the minor, but confirmed he is a resident of the city.
San Carlos City police chief, Police Superintendent D’Artagnan Katalbas, said members of the city’s mobile patrol team responded after a commotion erupted in the city’s Barangay Palampas.
When police arrived, they immediately saw the minor was carrying a .22 caliber magnum in plain view, prompting them to make the arrest.
A search further yielded four .22 caliber bullets loaded in the firearm’s chamber.
Katalbas added, the minor was turned over to the local Department of Social Welfare and Development office./DGB, WDJ
