The first Bacolod Chicken Inasal Festival took place over the weekend, reportedly drawing large crowds.

Around 3,000 pieces of chicken inasal were lined up from the Golden Diamond Jubilee Tower to San Sebastian Street measuring 300 meters.

Aside from Bacolod City officials, led by Mayor Evelio Leonardia, Russian Ambassador to the Philippines Igor Khovaev was also in attendance as guest of honor.

Around 25 Manokan stalls also participated in the event.

Back in March, Bacolod City Councilor Em Ang said she believes the event will become as big as the annual MassKara Festival, which is held in October./DGB, WDJ
