A downed electrical pole electrocuted a 52-year-old father of five to death over the weekend at Purok Webber in Barangay Don Jorge Araneta, Bago City, Negros Occidental.

Police identified the fatality as Roger Campos, a resident of the said area.

Investigations by Bago City police revealed, around 7:35 p.m., a cemented electrical pole was downed and blocked the local road.

Campos, who was riding a bus, disembark the vehicle and walked home as the bus was unable to pass the road.

However, as the victim was passing the down power line, he tripped over the power cable and was electrocuted.

Bystanders immediately rushed Campos to the city’s district hospital, but he was declared dead on arrival by hospital staff./DGB, WDJ
