Negros Occidental Football Association (NOFA) President Ricky Yanson, who chairs the Philippine Football Federation (PFF) grassroots committee, admitted to challenges with promoting the sports on a grassroots level.

“It’s really very challenging,” he said.

Yanson noted, the ongoing NOFA Under-13 Invitational Cup, taking place at the Sta. Maria Football Field in Talisay City, helps promote football across the country as participating teams come from across the country.

“The success of our elementary football [team] in the Palaro justified the efforts,” he added./JSG, WDJ
