The Bacolod City Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) offered tips as the plans to ramp up their fire prevention campaign this summer.

They noted, every member of a household should know what to do in case of fire; neighbors should be informed if fire breaks out; children, pregnant women, those with disabilities, and the elderly should be evacuated immediately; stay low and crawl under smoke when evacuating; and use a fire extinguisher to put out small fires.

The BFP also reminded locals to call 911 or the BFP directly at 434-50-22 to 23 and 16000 in case of a fire emergency./WDJ
