Negros Occidental Governor Alfredo Marañon, Jr. yesterday signed a memorandum of agreement granting scholarships to 215 students through the Negros Occidental Scholarship Program (NOSP) at the Bacolod Business Inn in Bacolod City.

“Negrenses are intelligent and skillful people, we just need to properly develop and motivate them,” the governor said. “The opportunity is there, it’s up to you if you want a brighter future.”

The scholars, who were awarded based on several different categories, were given a certificate; meanwhile, those graduating with honors were given certificates, medals, and cash incentives.
