A local resident of Barangay Zone 10 in Talisay City, Negros Occidental was found hanging inside his house Monday morning following an argument with his wife.

Talisay City police refused to name the 49-year-old victim.

Based on investigations by Talisay City police, the victim returned home drunk around 3:00 a.m on Monday and was confronted by his wife, whom they also did not identify.

An argument ensued, resulting in the wife leaving the husband at home to cool down.

However, by 6:30 a.m., the wife discovered her husband’s remains hanging inside a hut, prompting her to call for help from neighbors.

Residents rushed the victim to the Talisay City Health Center, where he was declared dead on arrival by the local physician.

Talisay City police are currently looking into the reason why the victim claimed his own life./DGB, WDJ
