CSAV beats ESJ Fyre Fyter in overtime

The Colegio de Sta. Ana de Victorias (CSAV) defeated ESJ Fyre Fyter in overtime, 99-95, last weekend in the ongoing Negros Basketball Association President’s Cup at the Bacolod Tay Tung High School gym.

ESJ Fyre Fyter narrowly led at the half, 40-39; however, by the end of the following period, the game was tied 60-60.

With 3.8 seconds left in the final quarter, CSAV’s Jeric Adorio tied things up at 83-83, forcing the game into overtime.

Jeff Manday, JR Essakadualla, and Adorio each contributed to the win in extra time.

Manday led the win with 36 points, followed by Adorio with 29.

In the other weekend games, Melfern beat Dawn Rent-A-Car, 140-94; Duke Jay Game Farm beat the University of St. La Salle-Freeze Sportswear, 80-66; and Red House Taiwan Shabu Shabu/The University of Negros Occidental-Recoletos beat Supreme ABF-Silver Graces Construction, 82-76./JSG, WDJ
