The Cadiz City Environment and Natural Resources Office (CENRO) observed Earth Day last week with an “End Plastic Pollution” clean-up drive along the city’s coastal areas.
Cadiz CENRO personnel, alongside North Negros College students enrolled in on the job training at the city office, took part in the event where around nine kilograms of non-biodegradable waste was collected.
The city office plans to conduct a tree growing activity on Friday, April 27, in Silay City.
Earlier this month, a group of volunteers gathered over 100 kilograms of garbage during the Department of Environment and Natural Resources-Northern Negros Natural Park clean-up drive at Tinagong Dagat, a popular ecotourism destination at the park./WDJ
