According to recent data gathered by the Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO), the number of criminal incidents in the city has dropped.
BCPO spokesperson, Police Senior Inspector Armilyn Vargas, said since the appointment of BCPO director, Police Senior Superintendent Francisco Ebreo, last November, they have adopted enhanced managing police operations, which has brought down the number of incidents.
She explained, with the program’s implementation, they are able to monitor individuals entering local bars, along with the time; if businesses have permits to operate; and if individuals are properly following city regulations.
With the strict monitoring, they were able to reduce the number homicides, or murders, along with road accidents.
Vargas, however, was unable to provide exact numbers, but added the data was taken from April 14 to 20, which includes the 25th Panaad sa Negros Festival./DGB, WDJ
