With Ceres-Negros FC set to play their final 2018 AFC Cup group stage match against Home United FC tonight at 6:00 p.m. at the Panaad Park and Stadium, Ceres midfielder Stephan Schröck said, “History is in our hands.”
“We are very happy and looking forward to finish on top of the group and advance to the next stage,” he said during yesterday’s press conference. “We want to deliver quality performance.”
Ceres coach Risto Vidaković noted the club’s experience against the Singaporean outfit.
“We have played against Home,” he said. “We already know each other and this is a challenge.”
In their previous group stage meeting, the two drew 1-1. A win or a draw in tonight’s match would secure first place for the defending Philippines Football League champions, earning a berth in the ASEAN Zonal semifinals.
