United States Ambassador to the Philippines Sung Kim visited Iloilo City Hall on Thursday, where he was welcomed by Mayor Jose Espinosa III.

“While traveling to City Hall, I have seen a lot of new construction sites,” the envoy noted. “There is really great development here.”

Kim also noted, the contributions of United States Agency for International Development (USAID) have helped in the noted developments of the city.

“USAID has been part of every successful project and development,” the mayor pointed out. “I hope there will be more programs that would greatly benefit our beloved city and our people.”

Earlier this month, Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade for the Australian Embassy in the Philippines Second Secretary Ben Esguerra paid a courtesy visit to Espinosa, where the two discussed various aspects of the city, along with the mayor touting the contributions made by the envoy’s country to the city./WDJ
