The most wanted suspect by Police Station 7 (PS7) was arrested late Thursday night after a warrant of arrest was served to the individual during the ongoing Panaad sa Negros Festival at the Panaad Park and Stadium in Barangay Mansilingan, Bacolod City.
Police identified the suspect as Marc Angelo Junco, alias ‘Toto Kawatan,’ a resident of Purok Sunrise in Barangay Taculing.
Bacolod City Police Office spokesperson, Police Senior Inspector Armilyn Vargas, said Junco’s arrest warrant for the charge of murder was issued on November 23, 2017.
Vargas noted, prior to his arrest, the suspect was also being eyed in a stabbing incident inside the Panaad Park last Wednesday, where he was positively identified by witnesses.
Following the incident, PS7 commander, Police Chief Inspector Ramel Sarona, led a hot pursuit operation against Junco, which led to the arrest.
Aside from the non-bailable murder charge, Junco could further face charges for last Wednesday’s stabbing and he is presently detained at PS7./DGB, WDJ
