According to Numbeo, a crowd-sourced database that uses information supplied by the public, Bacolod City ranked 19th among the 28 safest cities in Southeast Asia.

“This is good news for us,” said Bacolod City Mayor Evelio Leonardia.

Among localities in the Philippines, Bacolod City ranked behind seven other cities, including Iloilo City, which came in 14th.
