Silay City wins drum and lyre competition

Silay City, represented by the Silay South Elementary School Drum and Lyre Corps, won the recent Panaad sa Negros Festival Drum and Lyre Competition, taking home P50,000.

The Bocana Elementary School Drum and Lyre Corps of Ilog took second place, winning P40,000.

In other awards, Valladolid won ‘Best in Uniform’ and Noreen Palermo of Silay City was named ‘Best Drum Major.’/WDJ
