A motorcyclist, believed to be intoxicated, was killed after he collided with a taxi along Palanca Road at the Bredco Port in Bacolod City late Sunday evening.

Police identified the fatality as 22-year-old Arnel Edanio, a resident of Barangay Sum-ag in the said city.

Traffic investigators from Police Station 1 (PS1) said the taxi, driven by 51-year-old Ariel Palma, was heading north, with two passengers aboard, when Edanio’s motorcycle collided with his vehicle.

The motorcyclist was immediately rushed to the Corazon Locsin Montelibano Memorial Regional Hospital (CLMMRH), but was declared dead on arrival by hospital staff.

Traffic investigators noted the victim was not wearing a helmet and was likely drunk during the incident./DGB, WDJ
