Barangay 8 Captain Mylene Dewara died over the weekend due to acute myeloid leukemia.

According to Barangay 8 Kagawad Evelyn Donesca, the late neighborhood official’s term was supposed to end following the upcoming May 14 barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) elections.

Dewara’s remains are presently interred at the Barangay 8 hall.

Prior to being elected barangay captain in 2007, Dewara previously served as a kagawad from 1994 to 2003./DGB, WDJ
