The Saturday afternoon City Drug Enforcement Unit (CDEU) operation at Purok Maabi-abihon in Bacolod City’s Barangay 35 yielded P375,000 worth of suspected shabu.

Police identified the arrested suspects as 49-year-old George Vallente and his sister, 36-year-old Jennelyn Vallente, both residents of the said area.

CDEU team leader, Police Inspector Adrian James Albaytar, said the younger Vallente’s husband was previously arrested on illegal drugs charges.

Albaytar said several local residents earlier filed complaints before the Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO), prompting the CDEU to conduct surveillance against the two siblings.

Police recovered a total of five big and three elongated sachets of suspected shabu, a weighing scale, and the marked money used in the operation.

Both suspects are presently detained at Police Station 1 and face illegal drugs charges./DGB, WDJ
